Civil Health Insurance Fund subscribers eligible to visit emergency rooms of 32 private hospitals

Ammon News -

Government employees, civilian retirees and their family members holding second and third category health insurance cards, are eligible to visit the emergency rooms of 32 private hospitals as of Wednesday.

The Ministry of Health on Wednesday announced that agreements with 32 private hospitals have been completed to expand the beneficiaries, a measure aimed to give the holders of second-and third category health insurance cards a quick access to necessary treatment.

The inclusion of holders of second-and third category health insurance cards, who are subscribers of the Civil Health Insurance Fund, aims to alleviate pressure on public hospitals and improve healthcare provision. The move, a new public-private sector partnership, could help generate new jobs in the private sector, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
