3 Palestinians killed by Israeli gunfire in Jerusalem, Nablus, Bir al-Saba'

Ammon News - Israeli forces shot and killed three Palestinians Tuesday morning during clashes near occupied Jerusalem and Nablus and a raid in Bir al-Saba' inside Israel.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said in a statement that a Palestinian youth was killed and six others were wounded after Israeli troops raided the Qalandya refugee camp, north of Jerusalem.

The young man was shot and seriously wounded in the head with live fire and was transferred to the Palestine Medical Centre in the city of Ramallah, where he died later of his wounds, it said. Six people were injured in their feet during clashes with soldiers that erupted in the refugee camp.

Further north, a 17-year-old boy was killed and three other civilians were injured, one seriously, when troops were confronted by local youth during the storming of the Balata refugee camp in the city of Nablus.

The health ministry said the young man was struck by several bullets to the head, chest, abdomen and hand, and three were hospitalized, one with a serious chest injury, one with a foot injury and one with burns in the face and neck suffered from a percussion bomb fired by soldiers.

A third Palestinian, a 27-year-old man, was killed by Israeli police who posed as Arabs during a dawn raid into the village of Rahat in Bir al-Saba, according to the local council.

Israeli police said in a terse statement that the man, a father of three children, was killed by members of a police unit masquerading as Arabs "during an activity to arrest two suspects when gun shot were fired on them." It said the man was neutralized and shot, and that a gun and ammunition were found near the corpse, but police suffered no injuries.
