According to a USAID statement, Coleman visited a number of water facilities as part of her current visit to the Kingdom. She stressed that the Jordanian and US governments are committed to addressing climate change as a priority. During her serveral-day visit, the USAID official also met with Syrian refugees and looked firsthand at their living conditions. In 2021, USAID extended a total of $72.8 million to the World Food Program to finance its refugee-targeting food assistance programs in Jordan.
