Ammon News - Youth Minister Mohammad Nabulsi lauded Jordan's "deep-rooted" relations with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, in various fields, especially the youth and sports areas.
Delivering a speech at the opening ceremony Wednesday of 8th meeting of the joint Jordan-GCC working group in the youth work field, Nabulsi said Jordanian youth ministry's partnership with the GCC comes within the framework of joint desire to develop youth programs that would empower young people and build their capabilities.
The Amman-hosted meeting, which was held in Al-Hussein Youth City, went over a slew of issues common interest in the youth field, aimed to achieve "strategic" Jordan-GCC partnership in this regard, according to a youth ministry statement.
The Jordan-GCC team, comprised of youth ministry's secretary general, Hussein Jbour, and GCC countries' counterparts, discussed a number of youth programs that will be implemented, as Jordan presented initiatives aimed to advance youth professional tracks and exchange youth-based programs, the statement noted.
For his part, Director of GCC Youth Department , Walid Farhan, stressed the importance of joint cooperation in all youth fields, noting that the meeting will discuss the key programs, activities and scientific and digital innovations that suit Arab youth's interests.
