Senate's committee meets Moroccan envoy

Ammon News - The Jordanian-Moroccan Fraternity Committee in the Senate, chaired by Senator Muhammad Wahsh on Tuesday with Morocco Ambassador to Jordan, Sidi Muhammad Khaled Al-Nasiri.

Senator Wahsh said that Jordanian-Moroccan ties are deep, and both countries keen on maintaining constant communication on key regional and international issues of common interest.

He lauded Morocco's stances as the head of the Arab League's Al-Quds Committee, towards the Palestinian issue, and the historical Hashemite custodianship of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

The Moroccan envoy said that the Moroccan-Jordanian relations are characterized by solidity and strength, and are developing with the efforts of both countries' leaders, adding that the two countries see eye-to-eye on local and international issues, especially the Palestinian issue.

He commended the level of parliamentary relations between the two countries, which reflect the aspirations of the two peoples, pointing out that he is working hard to enhance them, with a focus on educational, tourism and commercial aspects.

Al-Nasiri underlined that reforms undertaken by Jordan are a model in other countries, expressing appreciation for Jordan's position on the issue of the Moroccan Sahara, and its participation in the Green March.
