Cold weather to persist until Wednesday

Ammon News - Mercury levels on Monday are expected to hover around annual average, so it will be cold in much of the Kingdom, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be pleasant, with medium clouds and southeasterly moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
In the evening and night hours, chilly weather will prevail in most regions, with southeasterly light winds, the JMD added.
Tuesday and Wednesday are forecast to bring in similar weather conditions, with clouds at various altitudes, the meteorologists predicted.
The highs in Amman and other highlands across Jordan today will range between 10 and 14 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 4C or even 1C in the southern highlands. In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be warmer with mercury levels reaching a high of 21C and a low of 10C.
