Ammon News - Head of the religious tourism committee at the Jordan Society of Tourism and Travel Agents (JSTA) Belal Rubin called on the government to exempt Jordanian citizens performing Umrah (Lesser Pilgrimage) and returning to the Kingdom from the second coronavirus PCR test required upon their arrival at the land border crossings, Jordan News Agency Petra reported.

Rubin highlighted that such 2nd PCR test would increase the costs of Umrah trip on Jordanians, indicating that Saudi Arabia, when the pilgrims arrive at its crossings, asks for a negative COVID test that was conducted in Jordan within the preceding 72 hours, Petra reported.
