Ammon News - Head of Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI), Fathi Jaghbir, agreed with Chairman of the Iraqi National Business Council (INBC), Daoud Abdul Zayer, on an initiative to establish direct sales outlets for Jordanian products in Iraq.
In a JCI statement on Wednesday, Jaghbir discussed aspects of joint cooperation with a number of economic and investment bodies during his recent visit to Iraq.
Jaghbir also agreed with head of the Iraqi Contractors Association (ICA), Ali Sanafi, to implement a joint economic initiative, which ensures engagement of all chambers and unions representing the two countries' economic private sectors.
Jaghbir valued the role of the Jordanian embassy in Iraq in providing all the support and assistance needed by the Jordanian sectors wishing to work and export to the Iraqi market.
The Jordanian ambassador to Iraq, Montaser Uqla, stressed the embassy's role in creating "true" opportunities for the Jordanian industrial sector, adding that these meetings held with Iraq's economic activities help promote Jordan's industry.
In a separate meeting, Jaghbir met the head of Iraqi Federation of Industries (IFI), Adel Akab, and discussed aspects of joint cooperation.
