Ammon News - The Kingdom's trade balance with the US registered about JD422 million surplus until the end of third quarter of this year, the Department of Statistic (DoS) said on Monday.

According to the DoS monthly report, the value of national exports to the US until the end of September 2021 increased by 22.9 percent, hitting JD1.145 billion, compared with the same period of last year, which amounted to JD932 million.

The Kingdom's imports from the US also increased by 2.7 percent towards the end of September 2021, with JD723 million, compared with JD704 million in the same period of last year.

The trade balance represents the difference between the value of imports and exports. It is considered one of the important economic indicators, and one of the inputs to the GDP of countries.
