The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources' oil derivatives pricing committee said Sunday it is increasing fuel prices for the month of November, but fixed the price of a cooking gas cylinder.

The price of one liter of both types of unleaded gasoline, octane-90 and octane-95, was increased by JD0.010 and will be sold for JD0.835 and JD1.070 respectively, while the price of diesel will be fixed at JD0.615 per liter. The price of a cooking gas cylinder will remain at JD7.00 until the end of winter to support the lowest income families during the current economic conditions.

The decision was announced during the committee’s monthly meeting to review the fluctuation in the global oil market and accordingly set the selling prices of oil derivatives locally. The committee also reviewed the global crude prices for the month of October.

Average Brent crude prices rose to $83.7 per barrel in October, compared to $74.4 per barrel in September.
