ICRC launches training on ethics of humanitarian reporting

Ammon News - The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on Sunday launched a training program on the ethics of humanitarian reporting.

Over the 2-day program, 14 journalists from various media outlets will receive theoretical and practical training on the ethics of humanitarian reporting, international humanitarian law and many other relevant topics.

Head of the ICRC in Jordan, Sarah Avrillaud, highlighted the importance of the program in equipping journalists with the needed skills to put together reliable humanitarian reports, that shall cause no more pain, but rather relieve for the people, families, and parties targeted in the report.
