AAU webinar provides insight on ways to develop applied health societies

Ammon News - Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities (AAU), Amr Salama, on Thursday discussed remotely ways to develop the skills of applied health societies.

Speaking at the webinar, Salama underlined the AAU's interest to develop the applied and practical skills of university health disciplines and providing faculty training at educational hospitals, labs and affiliated medical centers, which have the capabilities and expertise required in these fields.

The AUU, he said, seeks to benefit from technological and digital developments that evolve on a continuous basis, to keep pace pace in this regard by focusing on training programs, which contribute to obtain more "accurate and effective" outcomes.

For his part, Executive Director at Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network (EMPHNET), Mohannad Nsour, praised the AAU's role and efforts in opening the way for Arab and international institutions and organizations to benefit from the AAU's expertise.

Regarding the EMPHNET-affiliated International Academy of Public Health (IAPH), Nsour said its educational and training programs and courses were prepared by more than 75 physicians and scientists from the Mediterranean region and globally.
