Ammon News - The Jordanian Exporters Association (JEA) is organizing the participation of 18 local industrial companies, representing several sectors, in the Gulfood Manufacturing Exhibition, which will open in Dubai next November 7.
In a press statement on Saturday, the JEA's president, Omar Abu Wishah, said the Jordanian industrial companies participating in the three-day exhibition are working in various foodstuff sectors.
The Gulfood Manufacturing Exhibition showcases robotic packing solutions, tech-based ingredients, and integrated manufacturing technologies, and specializes in foodstuffs, flavors and spices industries, Abu Wishah said.
The exhibition, he said, constitutes a "strong" opportunity for Jordanian industrial companies to promote their products, especially following the " difficult" Covid-19 pandemic-induced conditions on the global exhibition industry, which was forcibly suspended due to the crisis.
The JEA seeks, by organizing the Jordanian participation in the event, to enable Jordanian companies to learn about the latest manufacturing technologies, in addition to introducing participants to the developments and the high quality of national products, according to Abu Wishah.
Abu Wishah also pointed to the importance of expanding and supporting participation in foreign exhibitions, which are considered international trade platforms and the "most effective" way to promote the national industry and its entry into new markets.
Future participations also help maintain the momentum gained by local companies in export markets during the past years, he noted.
Abu Wishah said stimulating Jordanian industrial exports is the "most effective" solution to achieving economic growth by increasing production and investment in the industrial sector and providing more job opportunities, in addition to strengthening the Kingdom's foreign currency reserves.
