Ammon News - Social media sensation Nusret Gökçe, better known as Salt Bae, opened Nusr-Et Steakhouse in London last month - and diners have some very strong opinions on their experience.

Salt Bae's London restaurant Nusr-Et Steakhouse has divided opinion with diners who have taken to review websites to give their opinion on the social media sensation's latest venture.

The Turkish chef, whose real name is Nusret Gökçe, recently opened the restaurant in Knightsbridge, which has hit the headlines due to its pricing as one group of diners claimed their final bill totalled £37,000.

Celebrities have flocked to visit the Instagram-worthy chain and Gemma Collins said she was left in "utter shock" after paying £1,450 for a steak - but said she rated the "once in a lifetime" experience "10/10".

Diners have been leaving their own opinionated reviews online, with one saying the £100 gold burger is below the standard of Harvester food, while others lashed out at those criticising the pricing by arguing: "You know exactly what you're putting yourself into. If you cant afford it, don't go."

The London restaurant has received 10 reviews on SquareMeal, averaging three out of five stars.

One customer awarded their experience one star, writing: "Luckily I have a few quid in my back pocket but the prices here are just fraudulent.

"The Gold Burger for £100 was super dry and was totally average. Harvester does a better burger and that's no lie.

"The £200 steak was so poor I was actually flabbergasted. It was like having a poor steak at Miller & Carter on a bad day. Just obscene money for products that are not up to the standard. It's basically not gastronomy at its finest, it's an over-priced theatre show."

And a second wrote: "If you want to eat, go look for some other places. Here you don't pay your food, you pay the picture and the video you take with Bae. Or if you want to show off I highly recommend this place. [It's] for this type of people."

But others urged people who were thinking of visiting to "not listen to the negative comments", as one said: "This restaurant is not made to be your local restaurant and I see comments about price, it clearly isn't suited for everyone.

"The food is absolutely amazing, juicy meat cooked just how I wanted it and the burger was amazing. Couldn't get enough of the golden food."

And a second added: "Whoever goes to this place clearly is aware of the menu and pricing. You know exactly what you're putting yourself into. If you cant afford it don't go. They are doing amazing so your reviews don't mean anything to them."
