Jordan Chamber of Commerce First Vice President Jamal Rifai Monday discussed with advisor and the deputy head of the South Korean mission to Jordan prospects of cementing economic ties between the two countries, and the role of the private sector in this regard.
The chamber said in a press release that Rifai stressed the importance of making use of Jordan's geographical location, stability and safety and the privilege it offers for being a major gateway to enter neighboring markets.
He called for stepping up efforts to find new cooperation frameworks to cope with the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic to enhance economic relations and increase the trade volume.
The South Korean diplomat stressed the need to intensify meetings and come up with "practical" proposals to enhance trade and launch joint investments, adding that the level of trade exchange currently does not rise to the level of aspirations and potentials available in the two countries.
