Ammon News - For most school children, a packed lunch tends to consist of some kind of sarnie, possibly a packet of crisps and some fruit. Maybe even a little sweet treat if your mum was feeling generous that morning.

But, while most of us grew up trading half a ham butty for a custard cream biscuit with your mates, it turns out that some kids' school lunches are in an entirely different league.

In fact, one couple left parents so shocked, they sparked an interesting debate on packed lunches, after revealing what they put together for their eight-year-old son - as per his request.

Taking to a Facebook group, one proud dad shared a photo of a delicious, but rather lavish-looking meal, which consisted of a lobster salad, serviced with cranberries, blueberries and nuts.

Don't be confused, though - this isn't the meal he was served in a fancy restaurant while out for dinner with his wife the previous night. This was the packed lunch lovingly prepared for his schoolboy son, after he specifically requested the seafood.

Also neatly tucked away in the lunch box were three gourmet KitKat bars and several slices of orange and white peach.

"Hi again! My wife is killing it for our son. He requested lobster," the man wrote. "After this picture was taken she removed the shell and sliced the lobster tail. It is meant to be served cold."

Quite understandably, parents were gobsmacked by the luxurious lunch - with many left feeling both simultaneously envious and hungry.

"Dear Lord! I want rich parents to feed me lobster for lunch," one mum wrote, while another added: "My daughter had this same lunch last week, but muffins instead of the KitKats and instead of lobster, peanut butter and jelly."

A third wrote: "I love this. Sometimes my darlings have a desire for the not so normal for lunch, and we embrace it. Your wife is doing great!"

"This looks amazing, you did a great job. Shrug off the haters. They don't count," another supportive parent wrote. "All I see in this pic is an expression of love for you son."

Meanwhile, another confessed just how jealous she was of the boy's mum for having the time and money to prepare such a delicious lunch.

"What the hell, we're dying in processed quick fixes here. I can hardly cook and don't have time," she commented. "You're doing great, but just a small bit jealous!"
