Ammon News - The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) has chosen Professor Murad AlDamen, Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Jordan, as a member of the Inorganic Chemistry Department for the years 2021-2023.
By choosing Professor AlDamen, Jordan will be represented by the Union for a period of three years, among 22 other members representing other countries who were chosen according to the criteria of excellence and qualitative excellence in the field of scientific research.
Professor AlDamen is a faculty member at the Faculty of Science at the University of Jordan. He has more than sixty research published in international journals with a high impact factor. His research has been cited remarkably on the level of chemistry for Jordan. He obtained a professorship at the age of 34 and holds many international memberships. He also taught many undergraduate courses and supervised many postgraduate students at the University of Jordan.
It is noteworthy that (IUPAC) was established in 1919 as an international non-governmental organization that seeks to develop the concept of chemistry, whether by theoretical or applied methods.
It is worth noting that the global science academy (TAWAS) announced last year that Professor Murad AlDamen won the “TWAS-AREP” award for the development of scientific-educational materials at the level of the Arab world for the year 2019, in recognition of his achievements in the field of qualitative scientific research and development in science education in the Arab region.
