According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the ISTD pointed out in a statement that income tax in the January-August period of 2021 reached JD994 million, up from JD921 million collected in the same period of last year. Meanwhile, the revenues collected from the sales tax in the first eight months of 2021 reached JD2.58 billion, up from JD2.205 billion in the same period of 2020. The department attributed the increase to the positive impact of resuming economic activities and tax reforms.
