22-08-2021 12:08 AM

Ammon News -

The Ministry of Interior said Saturday it is raising the number of people crossing to Jordan daily via the King Hussein Bridge to 2,000 instead of 1,500, and travelers will be subject to Jordanian health regulations, including registration on the platform and COVID-19 testing.

The Ministry also said in a press release that the number of individuals, who have a vaccination certificate issued by the Palestinian National Authority and who are registered on the platform, will be increased to 1,000 instead of 500.

The move is to facilitate the entry of Palestinians to the Kingdom, it said.

Previously, individuals who have a vaccination certificate from the Jordanian Ministry of Health were allowed to travel via the King Hussein Bridge on both ways without having to register on the platform.
