Ammon News - The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip on Thursday announced that a fire broke out late Wednesday, in a new oncology building designated for Covid-19 patients at the European Gaza Hospital in the southern part of the costal enclave.
In a statement, the ministry said the blaze was caused by an electrical short in an air conditioner in the new building, noting that firefighters extinguished the fire and safely evacuated the patients to another building.
"Investigation is underway on the incident," according to the strip's Civil Defense Department.
