Assistant Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health for Primary Health Care Ghazi Sharkas, on Friday, said that the reopening of sectors and reaching a safe summer in Jordan depend on receiving the coronavirus vaccine.

Speaking to Petra, Sharkas called on everyone to register to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and not to rely on the stability of the epidemiological situation. He stressed the need to avoid rumors and obtain information from official sources only.

More than 2.1 million people received the first dose of the vaccine and over 1.1 million received both doses, Sharkas added.
