At their summit, which has begun Thursday in Brussels, leaders of the European Union will discuss a proposal submitted by the European Commission to allocate 5.7 billion euros in fresh aid to Syrian refugees in Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan until 2024, including 3.5 billion euros for refugees in Turkey, which hosts about 4 million Syrian refugees.
According to the European Euronews network, the two-day summit will discuss "thorny" files, foremost is relations with Russia and Turkey, the issue of migration and refugees, the bloc's epidemiological situation and plans to revive EU economy.
