The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship launched the Temporary Job Opportunities initiative in the digital and entrepreneurial sector, by allowing companies and institutions to apply for this initiative.
The initiative aims at preserving job opportunities in the private sector and stimulating employment, which came within the mitigating, enabling and stimulating measures and decisions announced by the government at the end of March, the ministry said Tuesday in statement.
Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmad Hanandeh, said that the initiative aims to create temporary job opportunities for graduates of ICT majors, and related technical and technical disciplines, as well as supporting growth and employment plans for digital companies, pioneering and emerging companies, non-profit organizations, and departments for digital transformation and information technology for sectors.
He added that the initiative also aims to support on-the-job training for new graduates and motivate them to provide opportunities outside Amman, to include all governorates of the Kingdom, in addition to increasing female participation in the labor market, and developing the use of information technology in other sectors, by providing them with job opportunities incentives by the ministry. These incentives cover part of the monthly salaries of the beneficiaries for a period of up to 6 months, at a total cost of JD20 million.
