The TRC said it had already addressed telecom companies to enforce the ban minutes before the start of the examination and removes it shortly after students leave the exam's halls, indicating that the move is aimed at ensuring the integrity and credibility of Tawjihi by preventing cheating or leakage of exam papers. It said the downtime of messaging apps could affect areas nearby schools where the exam will be held, but nevertheless, it added, the block will be temporary and limited to the exam's time.
