Media commission blocks websites for violating licensing standards

Ammon News - The Jordan Media Commission (JMC) has blocked a number of websites for violating the licensing terms, contrary to the provisions of the Press and Publication Law No. 8 of 1998 and its amendments, Petra reported.

A statement issued by the JMC on Monday said that the decision came as part of the commission’s efforts to implement the relevant legislations in its field of work, according to Petra.

The commission carried out inspection visits to several publishing and printing houses, to ensure their compliance with the licensing requirements and legislation regulating their work.
