Jordan registers 7 COVID-19 related deaths, 343 infections on Friday

Jordan on Friday registered 7 COVID-19 related deaths and 343 new infections, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 742,521, the Health Ministry said in a press statement.

The statement added that 54 people had recovered and were discharged from hospitals while 68 others were admitted.

It also indicated that occupancy of the ICU bed capacity has hit 16%, 27%, and 8%, in the northern, central, and southern regions, respectively.

With regard to testing, 15,916 tests were conducted today, 2.16 percent of which were positive, taking the total numbers of tests to 7,508,948 since March, 2020.
