Ammon News - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Thursday paid tribute to servicemen and women on Army Day.

His Majesty posted on his Twitter account a photo that brings him together with army officers during his service in the armed forces.

His Majesty wrote: "Seeing my comrades-in-arms while we were celebrating Army Day took me back to days dear to my heart during my service with many of them in our Arab Army. You are the impregnable shield of the nation and bearers of the legacy of the founders who led the march of Jordan's independence and construction. We salute you on your day."
