PM visits Omari Border Crossing, KHBTDA today

Mamon Al-Adwan - Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on Thursday visited Al-Omari Border Crossing and the King Hussein Bin Talal Development Area (KHBTDA) of Al-Mafraq Development Corporation, in implementation of royal directives to intensify fieldwork and have a first-hand look at the quality of services provided to citizens.

The visit comes as part of a series of field visits the Prime Minister will undertake to several parts of the Kingdom.

The first leg of the PM’s visit was to Omari Border Crossing with Saudi Arabia, during which he was briefed on the operations carried out by the Crossing, and the services provided to facilitate the movement of citizens, visitors and trucks, while adhering to COVID-19 preventive measures.

During his visit to Omari Border Crossing with Saudi Arabia, Khasawneh said that Jordan is moving towards a new stage, indicating that the government is ready to provide all support to the Border Crossing.

PM also stated that the Crossing Border needs further refurbishments.

Khasawneh will also visit the KHBTDA to view the level of progress of its work and the future vision for its development which will eventually make it a distinguished logistic, service and industrial Development Area.
