Minister of Transport, Wajih Azaizeh, announced passage fees for Jordanian trucks departing to Egypt, estimated at JD90 per each truck, are abolished.

In a press statement on Wednesday, Azaizeh said the Arab Bridge Maritime Company (ABMC), the exclusive carrier operating between the two countries, decided to reduce cost of truck permits by about JD36 in both directions, and slash fees for excess weights from JD14 to about JD11.

The minister said these measures, which come after coordination with his Egyptian counterpart, Kamel Al-Wazir, will increase and facilitate trade exchange between the two countries.
