30-05-2021 03:02 AM

Ammon News -

The Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) will tomorrow start receiving applications from member facilities to reopen for business on June 1st as part of government measures to ease COVID-19 restrictions.

The ACC said in a statement Saturday that it agreed with the Ministries of Labour, Industry, Trade and Supply, and Tourism, the Greater Amman Municipality, and the Olympic Committee, to receive applications from businesses included in a cabinet decision to reopen on June 1, and to sign the labour protocols and preventive health measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

The facilities include sports and fitness centres, equestrian clubs, public swimming pools, cinemas, billiards and sports promotional snooker centres, entertainment facilities, children's play areas, electrical and electronic games shops and Turkish baths, it said.

The Chamber called on owners to visit its headquarters as of tomorrow Thursday evening to learn about the protocols introduced to regulate their work, and sign the application and an undertaking to observe the health protocols issued by the Ministry of Labor.

Under the protocols, both employers and workers are obligated to introduce a proof they got the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine at least 21 days before the date of returning to work.

ACC President Khalil Haj Tawfiq said that the arrangements were to save members the time and effort, adding that the chamber had put in place the necessary logistical measures to meet these requirements.
