The lawmaker stressed the need for continued European support for the Hashemite custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
Continuing: " The EU role should help find a permanent solution to the Palestinian cause, and ensure the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on their national soil within the international legitimacy resolutions."

Locally, Bolad said the "real" problem facing Jordan is "economic", and that official figures on the unemployment index are "increasing".

Regarding political reforms, Bolad indicated that Jordan is a leading country in the region to affirm political reforms and freedom of expression.

In turn, Sereni said the Italian government commends the "clear" Jordanian position in the region and its continuous efforts to achieve a comprehensive and just peace in the Middle East, adding that Jordan is "an important and main partner" in the region.

With regard to the Palestinian issue, the minister noted Italy's position is "clear" on this issue, which is in line with international legitimacy resolutions in this regard, which calls on resuming negotiations and opening dialogue in a "moderate" manner that protects rights of all concerned parties.
