Education Ministry: 58,209 teachers received first dose of Covid-19 vaccine so far

Media spokesperson of the Ministry of Education, Ahmed Masa'afa, said 58,209 teachers countrywide have received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine so far, since the launch of the national campaign to vaccinate teaching staff.


The campaign continues in all vaccination centers, announced by education directorates kingdomwide, he said, indicating that 9,715 teachers received the first jab on Sunday.


Expressing the Ministry’s appreciation for the teachers' cooperation, he said their turnout to to receive the vaccine is "high," which would help the Ministry fulfil its plan to ensure a safe return to schools at the beginning of the next academic year.
