Ahmad Al Hamad - An Israeli court on Thursday extended until Monday the arrest of two Jordanian detainees, who were arrested last week by Israeli occupation authorities while they were trying to infiltrate from northern Jordan into Palestinian territories.

The Haifa Military Court extended the arrest of Khalifa Al-Anouz and Musab Al-Da'jah, who come from the town of Safa in the northern governorate of Irbid, under the pretext of "completing the investigation with them," for additional 4 days, lawyer Khaled Mahajneh said.

Khaled added that the extension came after the Israeli intelligence and police submitted a request to extend the arrest of the detainees for 15 additional days, however the court rejected the request and extended the arrest for additional 4 days.

The court, according to the statement, charged the Jordanian young men "with illegal entry, and denied them the right to have a lawyer present on their behalf."
