RJ loses JD161mln in 2020 as pandemic takes toll

Ammon News - Royal Jordanian (RJ) posted a net loss of JD161 million in 2020 primarily as a result of the coronavirus crisis and related lockdowns which took a heavy toll on the global airline and travel industry, according to the company's annual 2020 report.

In 2019, the company recorded a net profit of JD10.4 million. The company's operating loss in 2020 stood at about JD125 million against a net operating profit of JD45.5 million in 2019.
