Ammon News - The Arab League, on Tuesday, condemned the Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip, calling on the international community to act immediately to stop the Israeli aggression in Jerusalem, Gaza and all the occupied Palestinian territories.

The League's Secretary General, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, held Israel responsible for this dangerous escalation, stressing that the Israeli violations in Jerusalem and the government's tolerance of Jewish extremists hostile to Palestinians and Arabs, is what led to the ignition of the situation in this dangerous way.

In a statement by the pan-Arab organization, Aboul Gheit said that the Israeli attacks are "indiscriminate and irresponsible," and a miserable show of force at the expense of children's blood. He stated that Israeli provocations, which are still ongoing in Jerusalem, are an affront to Muslims around the world on the eve of the Eid Al Fitr holiday.
