Ammon News - The Public Security Department and the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN), on Thursday, signed an agreement to establish a tourism and environment office in the Burqa' Reserve to serve biological diversity protection programs and to implement inspection programs in the area.
The agreement was signed by the PSD's Assistant Director of Management and Logistical Support, Brig. Gen. Mutasim Abu Shatal, and the RSCN's Chairman, Khalid al-Irani.
The office will protect the biological diversity in the Burqa' reserve, a falcon training reserve located 200 km east of Amman. This agreement is an extension of a memorandum of understanding signed recently between the department and the RSCN, which aimed at boosting cooperation to protect the environment and wild species.
