On Friday, a further dip in temperatures is expected, becoming around annual average, so it will be fair in the hilly areas and the plains, and relatively hot in other parts of the Kingdom, with northwesterly moderate to active winds, the JMD added. Toward Saturday, mercury will rise again, making hot conditions in much areas of the country, except in the heights and the plains where it will be moderate, the JMD noted. The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom will range between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius on Thursday, dropping at night to 17C or even to 13C in the southern highlands. In the gulf city of Aqaba, it will be hotter with mercury reaching a high of 38C and a low of 23C.
