AND agents and Madaba Police personnel have carried out raids in several sites in Madaba after collecting information about a number of drug dealers, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson said in a statement. He added that the raids led to the arrest of the five suspects and 8,500 narcotic pills, 100 grams of crystal narcotic substance, quantities of hashish, and tools used to sell narcotic substances, in addition to a firearm "pistol" and a quantity of ammunition were confiscated. Cases were referred to the State Security Court Public Prosecutor, the spokesperson noted.

An Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) force arrested five drug dealers in the Madaba governorate, south-west of Amman.

AND agents and Madaba Police personnel have carried out raids in several sites in Madaba after collecting information about a number of drug dealers, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson said in a statement.

He added that the raids led to the arrest of the five suspects and 8,500 narcotic pills, 100 grams of crystal narcotic substance, quantities of hashish, and tools used to sell narcotic substances, in addition to a firearm "pistol" and a quantity of ammunition were confiscated.

Cases were referred to the State Security Court Public Prosecutor, the spokesperson noted.
