Ammon News - The Kingdom is on the right track in the battle against the coronavirus pandemic, Minister of Health Firas Hawari said on Thursday, revealing that the ministry is mulling the relaxation of pandemic-prompted rules and restrictions.

The ministry is monitoring the epidemiological curve which has been clearly showing a downward trend, thanks to citizens' commitment to health instructions and guidelines, Hawari told reporters while touring the government-run Prince Hamza Hospital in Amman.

He indicated that less than 2,000 patients, or 60 percent of Covid-bed capacity, are currently receiving in the hospital, located in central Amman. On vaccination, the minister stressed that the ministry aims to ensure that 4.5 million receive the jabs to arrive at a "safe summer".
