Ammon News - Iraq said Saturday that the US-led international coalition is helping Iraq to secure its border with Syria from terrorist gangs.

The Joint Operations Command in Iraq said in a statement that the coalition provided materials for fortification to control about 660 kilometres of border with Syria.

It said that the coalition offered barbed wire and wire barriers, the first in a series of materials that Iraqi forces will receive.

Iraq has drawn up a plan to fortify its frontiers against infiltrations by the terrorist group Daesh from the Syrian side.
