Jurassic Park

Ammon News - Max Hodak made a bold claim on Twitter as he said that Neuralink, the company he founded with Elon Musk in 2016, has the tech to create a real-life Jurassic Park.

The co-founder of Elon Musk’s firm Neuralink claims the firm now has the technology to build a real-life “Jurassic Park.”

Max Hodak, who co-founded the company in July 2016, took to Twitter to make the bold claim on Saturday (April 3).

He wrote: "We could probably build Jurassic Park if we wanted to."

The biomedical engineer didn’t elaborate on how his neurotechnology company might be able to create the modern-day dinosaurs, which would be look like their prehistoric counterparts, but not be genetically identical.

Hodak said: “[They] wouldn’t be genetically authentic dinosaurs but [shrugging emoji]. Maybe 15 years of breeding + engineering to get super exotic novel species."

He also praised the idea claiming it will increase biodiversity.

However great the idea may seem, in the 1993 movie “Jurassic Park,” based on a best-selling book published by Michael Crichton in 1990, the scientific plan goes massively wrong.

Palaeontologists touring the island of genetically resurrected dinosaurs and hunted by the beasts as they break free.

In the movies, dinos are recreated by the scientists of InGen. The long-extinct monsters are cloned using paleo-DNA from either bones or the gut of mosquitoes in amber.

Whether Elon Musk's co-worker could complete the resurrection or not, his company are making strides in other areas of technological advancement.

Last summer, Neuralink unveiled a working prototype of a brain-implant device that founders believe can cure everything from blindness to quadriplegia (spinal cord injury that causes paralysis).

Musk showed off an early version of the gadget that he implanted in a pig and later said human trials could begin as soon as 2021.
