Gag order on Prince Hamza issue excludes freedom of opinion, says Attorney General

Ammon News - The gag order issued on Tuesday on the Prince Hamzah bin Al Hussein's issue only includes matters related to the investigation, its confidentiality, safety, evidence, and those involved.

In a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) on Wednesday, Amman's Attorney General, Hassan Abdallat, said the gag order excludes matters related to freedom of speech and expression in accordance with the law and responsibility, namely Articles 38 C and D and 39 of the Press and Publication Law.

The gag order also excludes statement released by official authorities in this regard, he noted, adding that it is in effect until further notice.
