Foreign, Arab countries voice support for Jordan's measures to maintain its security, stability

China on Tuesday expressed its support for actions and decisions taken by His Majesty King Abdullah to preserve Jordan's security and stability.

"As a good friend of Jordan, China supports the actions taken by King Abdullah II to maintain national security and stability in his country," Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said at the ministry's daily press conference. "China is confident that under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Jordan is capable of dealing with these developments and maintaining long-term security and stability," he said.

Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi said his country supports stability in Jordan and sees it as a strategic partner and a country that is very important for the stability of the Middle East.

"Stability in the Middle East is very important for Japan, and for that stability, Jordan is a very important country," Motegi said at a press conference.

"I would like to continue to closely coordinate with Jordan in order to be able to work together towards peace and stability," he said.

Also, Kazakhstan voiced its solidarity and full support for the Jordanian actions taken to preserve the security and stability of the Kingdom.

The Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Jordan is one of Kazakhstan's key partners in the Middle East, the ministry said in a press release distributed by the Kazakh Embassy in Amman.

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri sent a telegram to Speaker Abdel Moneim Oudat, condemning any attempt to tamper with Jordan's security and stability.

In his letter, Berri stressed the Lebanese parliament's keenness on "the stability of Jordan for the benefit of the Jordanian people, their progress, prosperity and the preservation of their sovereignty, while condemning any attempt to tamper with their security and stability."
