COVID-19 killed 82 in Jordan in the last 24 hours, as the death toll stands at 7,283, and a total of 6,537 cases were recorded, pushing the caseload to some 639,444, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Breaking down Monday's tally, the MoH said that 2,561 cases were recorded in Amman, 1,212 in Irbid, 676 in Zarqa, 468 in Balqa, 362 in Mafraq, 278 in Karak, 220 in Madaba, 193 in Ajloun, 185 in Aqaba, 181 in Tafilah, 130 in Jerash and 71 in Maan.
The MoH said in a press statement that some 383 people had recovered and were discharged from hospitals while 399 others were admitted, as the total number of COVID-19 patients in hospitals stands at 3,182.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom hovers around 79,400 it added.
More than 552,760 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.
Around 15 percent of the 43,230 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
