Ammon News - Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Huneiti on Wednesday met with members of the Lower House’s Al Shaab (People) bloc in the presence of a number of senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

During the meeting, Huneiti stressed the importance of the efforts exerted by the JAF to provide a safe and stable environment to face regional challenges. Huneiti also highlighted cooperation with the Lower House to support the government in realising solutions serving the Kingdom’s best interests and materialising His Majesty King Abdullah’s vision of implementing developmental projects to alleviate the economic situation.

In turn, bloc members indicated that these meetings aim to enhance joint coordination through agreeing on “clear basic frameworks” for discussing amendments of legislations related to JAF. Shaab members also praised the great role of JAF in safeguarding the Kingdom.
