Ammon News - E-health system "Hakeem" is now deployed at 198 government-run hospitals and primary healthcare clinics across the Kingdom, according to Firas Kamal, CEO of the Electronic Health Solutions, the company operating the system.

In an interview with the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Kamal noted that the system helped digitize about 8 million patient files and 81 percent of public hospitals' beds.

He stressed that Hakeem paved the way for efficient medical management by allowing the introduction of a comprehensive patient database that can be utilized to support research and inform policy and decision-making.

Kamal revealed that the company has an ambitious plan to roll out a uniform patient file that links and compiles all measures taken in various clinics in a manner that allows doctors to see the patient's file from anywhere.

He pointed out that in February of this year 2021, the company launched the "My Hakeem" application, which allows patients to access, through their smartphones, their health information, noting that more 1,200 people are using the app.

Founded in 2009 to achieve the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein for a computerized Jordanian health sector, Electronic Health Solutions (EHS) is a private, non-profit company which bases its work on the principles of determination, dedication, and the ability to create and innovate in order to achieve the Royal Vision of computerizing the Jordanian health sector.
