Minister of Transport, Wajih Azayzeh, and his Iraqi counterpart, Nasser Shibli, discussed ways to facilitate transport movement between the two countries.
Held on the sidelines of the Joint Jordanian-Iraqi Ministerial Committee meeting, the duo discussed transport issues of common interest, stressing the need to overcome all difficulties and obstacles facing the sector in a way that would reflect outcomes of the tripartite talks scheduled to convene in Amman, with the participation of Egypt and Iraq.
Amman's discussions aim to find "effective" formulas to facilitate the joint transport process by launching an "advanced" system that would ensure smooth flow of commodities and passengers between Jordan, Egypt and Iraq, according a ministry's press statement.
The two ministers reviewed the mechanisms to facilitate the transport movement between the two brotherly countries, aimed to ensure smooth delivery of goods, which would support the two countries' economies.
