Ammon News - Israeli occupation warplanes Wednesday dawn struck a number of Palestinian targets in the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian sources.

The sources said that Israeli jets fired a number of missiles at a field control point in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, and a resistance site south of Gaza City, causing heavy damage to properties, but no injuries were reported.

The occupation army claimed that the air strikes against the coastal enclave were in response to the launching of a missile at Israel yesterday evening.

Israeli army spokesman Tuesday evening announced that a rocket had landed in an open area in the south, without casualties.

Meanwhile, Israeli media indicated that the firing of the missile coincided with the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the area.
