Assistant Secretary General for Preliminary Health at the Health Ministry Ghazi Sharkas said, on Thursday, that the total immunity from COVID-19 happens after two weeks or more from receiving the second dose of the vaccine.
He told Petra that persons who had received the second dose will have a six-month immunity, adding that such persons are not contagious to those around them, but they should abide health protocols including face masks and social-distancing.
Those who are under 18, pregnant and lactating women, and planning a pregnancy are excluded from taking any vaccine, Sharkas stressed.
