Attorney general orders custody of official in Salt hospital case

The Salt Attorney General decided to detain a medical devices engineer, who is the Head of the Medical Gas Group at the Ministry of Health, for a week in a correction center, following a deadly oxygen outage at the al-Hussein Hospital in Salt last Saturday, an official stated.

Amman's Attorney General, Hassan Abdallat, told the Jordan News Agency (Petra), on Thursday, that the investigation into the case is still ongoing to identify those responsible for the death of 7 Jordanians due to the oxygen outage.

Earlier, the Salt Attorney General decided to detain eight officials in connection with the case, bringing the total number of defendants to 9 people.
